Local Pigeon Forge Company Sends Thousands Of Bottles Of Hot Sauce To Troops

A local hot sauce company is helping soldier's food taste a whole lot better. That's thanks to a huge donation from Pepper Palace.

The Sevierville-based company said it's donating $55,000 worth of hot sauce to solders serving overseas. The owner of Pepper Palace is a veteran, and he said he wants to support the troops.

Packages from Home will help deliver the sauce, and they'll put them on MREs to hopefully make them taste a whole lot better.

"Not only are there several people on the director's side that are veterans, but our owner," said Will C-Nuņez with Pepper Palace. "He believes in giving back to the community."

UPS carriers agreed to ship the items for free, so soon all 10,000 bottles of hot sauce will be making those ready-to-eat meals taste much better.
