CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – When Carlo A. Serrano, Ph.D. began his doctoral studies at Regent University, he went in knowing that eventually, he wanted to study the phenomenon of leadership failure. His desire to stem the tide of ethical and moral failure in executive leadership prompted Serrano to write "Leadership Fatigue: What New Leaders Can Learn from an Old King" (published by WestBow Press).

This book takes an in-depth analysis of King David, one of history's most storied leaders. The results of this analysis provide real-world strategies to cope with the stress of leadership and prevent leadership fatigue.

"I believe that the research presented in this book helps to confirm that the Bible is an appropriate source for organizational leadership research," Serrano says. "Moreover, I believe that this book will help the leader who is tired, on-edge and ready to throw it all away for one night of temporary release. Leadership is hard and traumatic. Leadership fatigue is a real phenomenon that if left unchecked, will take down even the strongest (and smartest) of leaders

The book is the result of years of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level qualitative research and preparation. Serrano hopes it will be beneficial to current leaders and scholars as well as future leaders who are currently exploring the broad field of organizational leadership in classrooms and libraries all over the world.
