NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A total of 50 people were arrested at CMA Fest, mostly for public intoxication and underage drinking.

The festival saw a record-breaking attendance at the Xfinity Fan Fair X of 71,000 attendees, but with crowds often comes problems.

Overall, the number of arrests is down this year compared to previous.

One person was arrested for reckless endangerment after flying a drone over the crowd at Nissan Stadium.

Last year, 59 people were arrested at the stadium alone, and this year that number went down to 31.

Also, in 2017, three people were arrested for selling alcohol to minors, and this year, no one was arrested for that.

Charges:


  • 8 for public intoxication
  • 3 for misdemeanor assault
  • 3 arrested for outstanding warrants
  • 2 for disorderly conduct
  • 1 for domestic violence assault
  • 1 for resisting arrest
  • 1 for possession of a controlled substance
  • 1 for sneaking contraband into jail.

Over at Nissan, 31 people arrested for 31 charges. There were 59 people arrested last year, so down significantly.

  • 5 for public intoxication
  • 6 for criminal trespassing
  • 2 for disorderly conduct

  • 3 people arrested for outstanding warrants
  • 1 for misdemeanor assault
  • 1 for reckless endangerment for flying a drone over the crowd.
  • 0 people were arrested for selling alcohol to minors, down from 3 last year.
