MT. JULIET, Tenn.-- A compassionate, Middle Tennessee 6-year-old girl set up a lemonade stand Saturday to raise money for fallen Dickson County Sheriff's Deputy Sergeant Daniel Baker's family.
Little Caroline Piche's thoughtful gesture gained praise form the law enforcement officers. Deputies said Piche's act of kindness reminded them "of the goodness in our world."
Officer Wentzell was Piche's first customer. The girl even got a chance to go inside a patrol car.
Piche said she wants to be a police officer when she grows up, so her choice to help the family of a brother in blue was more than fitting.
Mt. Juliet Police Cheif Tyler Chandler visited Piche's lemonade stand to show her how much their "department appreciated her efforts,".
Piche raised $1,125.
She touched all of our hearts today, and her compassion reminded us of the goodness in our world. We appreciate Caroline, so much, for her support of fellow law enforcement officer, @DicksonCountySO Sgt. Daniel Baker and her efforts to help the Baker family. pic.twitter.com/D6QUJzlgEJ— Mt.
