8500 gallon gas spill caused long-term lane closure on I-75 north

ROCKY TOP, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Lanes were expected to remain closed long-term on I-75 North in Campbell County near Rocky Top according to Mark Nagi of the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
An overturned tractor-trailer with a breached tanker leaked 8500 gallons of gasoline. TDOT said it would require drilling and pumping to remove all of the hazardous material before the lane could be re-opened.
