The American Eagle Foundation released a 14-week-old Bald Eaglet on Tuesday morning.

The release was in honor of local first responders in Jefferson County, Dandridge, Seymour and Pigeon Forge, and representatives from each area were present Tuesday at the Douglas Lake Hack Towers.

Honor and Braveheart are the parents of the Eaglet, which hatched in its captive breeding and hacking program. This is the 11th eaglet the pair has hatched.

AEF has released 162 eaglets at Douglas Lake and countless more throughout Tennessee.
