The American Cancer Society is hosting its "Real Men Wear Pink"campaign.

"It's one important way we're attacking cancer from every angle,"
the American Cancer Society said of the campaign.

Participants raise awareness and money to fight breast cancer by wearing pink throughout October and raising awareness of the cause through their social media networks.

The men involved must also raise a minimum of $2,500 to help the cancer society in the fight against breast cancer.

WVLT's David Aldrich is participating in this year's campaign.

Aldrich said he wears pink because,

"Breast cancer affects everyone--it doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. That's why I'm stepping up to fight breast cancer with all I have."
