C.A.S.A. holds fundraiser to help abused, neglected children in Sevier Co.

SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Court Appointed Special Advocates group is hosting its first Sevier County Fundraiser.

Lakeway C.A.S.A is a volunteer based organization that helps abused and neglected children in Sevier County. According to the group, over 900 cases of child abuse were reported in 2018. 119 of those were substantiated, the group said.

C.A.S.A. members are court-appointed advocates who help abused children during their most vulnerable moments.

The group us having a fundraiser on Sept. 27 at the First Baptist Church located at 317 Parkway from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
