Report: Knoxville 1 of the happiest cities in America

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville residents, are you happy?

A new report from WalletHub claims that Knoxville is one of the happiest cities in America. It is number 137 on a list of 182 happiest cities, and it ranks 32 in the category of 'Community & Environment.' Plano in Texas is reportedly the happiest, taking the top spot. Detroit is 182 on the list.

To get the results, WalletHub says it compared cities across three factors: emotional and physical well-being, income and employment and community and environment.

'Community & Environment,' which Knoxville ranks relatively high in, includes factors such as: the strength of social ties, separation and divorce rates, hate-crime incidents, ideal weather, average leisure time and acres of parkland.
