KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - Knoxville, Tennessee is the 13th-hippest city in the United States, according to a recent study by MoveHub.com found that
The study, published in November, took into account criteria like the number of microbreweries, vegan stores, thrift shops and tattoo parlors per 100,000 people. It also factored in year-over-year rent increases.
Knoxville was ranked sixth in the nation in number of thrift shops, with 9.13 per 100,000 people, compared to the top city, Richmond, Virginia, which boasted 13.89 thrift stores per 100,000 people.
