Press Release # Local

PIGEON FORGE, TN – WonderWorks, located in Pigeon Forge, adds more fun and educational opportunities with an origami exhibit focusing on STEM, teaching visitors how math is related to the art of origami, on display now in the Gallery of Wonders.

Origami, which originated in Japan, is the art of folding paper in a sequence to get a particular shape. Origami can help kids understand math concepts better because origami designs contain complex geometric patterns, angles, and shapes.

WonderWorks offers 35,000 square feet of “edu-tainment” opportunities, billing itself as an amusement park for the mind. Over 100 hands-on exhibits covering natural disasters, space discovery, an imagination lab, a physical challenge zone, a far out art gallery, and a light and sound zone are on display. WonderWorks is open 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily.
