A 7-months-pregnant woman, her unborn child and her husband were found dead in their Washington County mobile home Monday night in what authorities are investigating as a triple homicide, according to media reports.
The bodies of Kyanna Howes Vaughn, 23, and Robert Aaron Vaughn, 25, were discovered by friends inside the couple's mobile home in the Gray community, the Johnson City Press reports.
Sheriff Ed Graybeal told reporters at a Tuesday morning news conference two children, ages 3 and 6, were found unharmed in the residence, according to the newspaper. The children have been placed in the custody of the state Department of Children's Services.
Investigators do not believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute between the couple, although no motive has been established for the slayings.The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting the sheriff's investigators.
