Radio legends Andy & Alison to be inducted into Country Radio Hall of Fame

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- During opening ceremonies for the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville on Monday, February 5, nine broadcasters were announced to join the Country Radio Hall of Fame, including former WIVK legends Andy & Alison.

The Air Personality category of the 2018 Country Radio Hall of Fame included inductees Andy Ritchie and Alison Mencer, formerly of 'Andy & Alison and the Morning Crew' on WIVK in Knoxville; Steve Harmon and Scott Evans, formerly of 'Harmon And Evans' on KPLX/Dallas and WXTU/Philadelphia; and Bill Barrett, Tim Fox and Tracy Berry, of 'Barrett, Fox, And Berry' at KKNU/Eugene, Oregon.

The 2018 inductees Radio category honorees included Michael O'Malley of the Albright, O'Malley & Brenner consulting form, along with the late Lisa McKay, VP/Programming at Curtis Media/Raleigh.

The Country Radio Hall of Fame was created to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the radio industry over a 20-year period, 15 of which must be in the country radio genre.

This year's candidates will officially be inducted at the Country Radio Hall of Fame Induction and Dinner in Nashville on Wednesday, June 20.
