The Sevierville Police Department is conducting a FREE child car safety seat inspection event on Saturday, September 24 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at Dairy Queen, 1179 Dolly Parton Parkway.
This event is being held in participation with National Care Seat Saturday, part of National Child Passenger Safety Week (September 18-24). Car crashes are a leading cause of death for children. On average, two children under 13 were killed, and an estimated 374 were injured, every day in 2019 while riding in cars, SUVs, pickups, and vans.
At the event, certified SPD technicians will perform free safety checks and answer questions. The City of Sevierville is committed to helping parents and caregivers make sure their children ride as safely as possible - every trip, every time.
Parents can also have their safety seats checked at the Sevierville Police Department throughout the year. To schedule an appointment, call 865-868-1866 or send an email to rcowan@seveirvilletn.org.
