The Sevierville Police Department has scheduled a Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) class for women on Friday, August 13 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday, August 14 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Sevierville Police Department. The class is free of charge and is open to all interested women. The purpose of the class is to develop and enhance self-defense options, so they may become viable considerations to a woman if she is attacked.
The class is limited to the first 15 women to register. To register or receive additional information, contact Stefanie Cook at email@example.com
The R.A.D. class is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The R.A.D. system is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. R.A.D. is not a martial arts program.
This class is designed to help women fight smarter not harder. Students will learn how to get out of bear hugs, choke holds and arm grabs. The class also covers how to get an attacker off of you, and how to punch and kick effectively.
