KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - I BIKE KNX is holding its eleventh annual Tour de Lights, a free bike parade through downtown, 4th & Gill and Old North Knoxville on Friday, Dec. 15, from 6 p.m until 8:30 p.m.

Cookies and cocoa will be provided by the Mast General Store and Three Rivers Market. Prizes are awarded for decoration and costumes in several categories.

The route that they will be taking is about five miles long and only takes about an hour to ride. The street will be closed for the event.

Planners of Tour de Lights have made some changes this year to increase safety and fun at the event. Bikers will leave from Market Square in stages. Experienced riders will leave from Wall Ave first at 7 p.m. Groups wearing themed costumes will leave next, then beginning riders and families with younger kids will leave last.

If you want to be in the decorating/costume contest, you'll need to go to the photo booth (across from the stage) between 5:30 and 6:45 p.m. The judges will be there, and you can get your photo taken!
