NEW YORK (CBS/WVLT) -- The average age of retirement has gone up in recent years, and a new poll shows that 23% of Americans plan to never stop working.

"Depending on the cost of college for my kids - I got three little ones so - if costs keep increasing as they do now, I will probably never be able to retire...,"
said Matthew, and he's not alone. On top of those who plan to never stop working, another 23% say they expect to continue working after their 65th birthday.

The poll found that only 29% of Americans over 50 say they feel extremely or very prepared for retirement while another 40% only feel somewhat prepared. About a third say they're completely unprepared.

How do you feel about retirement? How old will be when you throw in the towel?
