SPD Responds to Alleged Domestic Assault; SWAT Team Deployed
Sevierville Police Department officers responded to an alleged domestic assault on Caton Road at approximately 10:50 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026.
The suspect was identified as 52-year old Mark Morrow, who refused to leave the residence. The alleged victim was not inside the home at the time of the call.
The SPD SWAT team responded at approximately 12 midnight. After refusing multiple orders to exit the residence, chemical agents were deployed and the suspect ultimately surrendered without incident at approximately 1:49 a.m. Friday morning, August 28.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Sevier County Jail and charged with aggravated domestic assault.

All persons are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
