$8,000 in copper materials stolen from Sevierville Fire Dept. construction site

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A thief or thieves stole $8,000 worth of copper pipe and wire from new Sevierville Fire Department headquarters construction site according to Sevierville police.

The project is located on Dolly Parton Parkway. Investigators said the copper piping and seven spools of copper wire were taken between 11:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8.

Sevierville police provided what detectives called a low quality photo of the suspect vehicle. It could be a white Dodge pick-up, maybe a 3500 model, with a utility flatbed.
