Gatlinburg Wine Trail Features Five Wineries

GATLINBURG, TN – Sept. 12, 2019 – A new East Tennessee wine trail has opened in Gatlinburg, the Gatlinburg Wine Trail, showcasing local Tennessee wines, featuring free samples and prizes to customers who visit several of the sites.

Each stop offers free wine samples, and each winery is open seven days per week (except major holidays).

The stops include two facilities owned by Cades Cove Cellars (one in Townsend and one in Wears Valley, - each offering a different complement of wines), Sugarland Cellars Winery, newly-opened Little Bear Winery and Bootleggers Homemade Wine.

Visitors who complete three of the sites receive a free wine glass. Those who visit all five receive a large travel coffee mug.

The wine trail is the newest in “Nine Lakes Wine Country,” a region named for the nine TVA-made lakes surrounding Knoxville. With more vineyards and wineries than any other part of Tennessee, the region is recognized as Tennessee’s premier wine country. Grapes are the fastest growing segment of Tennessee agriculture

The Gatlinburg Wine Trail is conveniently located near attractions like the popular Anakeesta Skywalk, Ripley’s Aquarium, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Foothills Parkway, Cades Cove Loop, Wears Valley Fall Fest and more. There are three other wine trails in East Tennessee.
