Gay Street Bridge reopens to traffic

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Gay Street Bridge reopened to traffic Thursday after being closed for a water line installation.
During the closure, officials originally planned to install a water line running between East Blount Avenue and Council Place as part of the Blount Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project.
The bridge closed on October 30.
