Heavy traffic expected during Pigeon Forge Rod Run

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Heavy traffic and delays are expected during the Pigeon Forge Rod Run, scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 19 through Saturday, April 21.

In anticipation of the event, the Pigeon Forge Police Department said this weekend will

"not be a good time to be in a hurry" and to "expect some problems getting around and through the City of Pigeon Forge."

The department says heavy traffic is expected on Wears Valley Road from Townsend to Pigeon Forge, the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, the Spur from Gatlinburg to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood Lane.
