(WVLT) - All 43.7 million of Drake's Instagram followers saw Tennessee orange pop up on their timelines Tuesday. The rapper, actor, and fashion icon flexed in Big Orange gear and Rocky Top is abuzz.
Drake posted several photos of himself wearing a faded orange crew neck with the word "Tennessee" across the chest -- but is that really what it says?
If you look closely, some of the letters are faded out, so that the prominent white letters left behind appear to spell "Finesse." So is he supporting the Vols? Or is the alteration disrespectful?
Big Orange fans reacted on Twitter.
when Drake said "wild as a mink but sweet as soda pop" I felt that pic.twitter.com/Y1PJXZ8WPl

How did Drake just turn this Tennessee crew neck into the hardest sweater of all time pic.twitter.com/VQsohD1TAb

Did @Drake really scratch some lettering off of a Tennessee sweatshirt to make it say Finesse? I'm done. pic.twitter.com/j4CQpXy0HC

Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, has Tennessee roots. His father, Dennis Graham, is from Memphis. He makes reference to that in several songs.
"My father's from Memphis and I am the king I should probably just move into Graceland,"he says in the song "R.I.C.O."
Drake is no stranger to the sports scene. He's often seen court side cheering on the Toronto Raptors in the NBA.
